Hi!

My name is Lara Mascareño, a Venezuelan currently living in Spain and the person behind Aralma Design.

At the beginning of 2017, I suddenly lost my 9 to 5 job and in that moment I realized that I didn’t want another “office job” and that’s when surface pattern design knocked on my door!

Although I majored in International Relations, I’ve always been attracted to all sorts of creative activities, that’s why discovering and learning surface design was a great joy for me.           

Growing up in a tropical country is a source of constant inspiration. The first things that come to me when I’m starting a new design are always nature related. I take pleasure in the creation of delicate organic shapes, with a wink to old times in a subtle but contrasting color palette.
